Tommy DeVito Delivers!

February 1st, 2009

You may think Tommy DeVito is sitting back and relaxing these days in Vegas—playing a little golf, hanging out with his pals, and enjoying himself in this fabulous 65 degree winter weather, right? Well, that may be true, but he’s also busy as a record producer and manager!

Tommy has been back in the recording studio, producing and managing an extraordinarily talented young artist, Michelle V!

Who is Michelle V and how did she and Tommy begin working together?

Jersey girl Michelle Vecchione, who goes by “Michelle V,” is an amazingly talented singer and songwriter! Her music is a fusion of some powerful classic country, a touch of Blues, and just a bit of pop—on her new CD by the same name! Turns out, one of Michelle’s uncles told Tommy about his niece and asked him to listen to one of her demos. Tommy liked what he heard, arranged an interview, and ultimately got Michelle into the studio!

Michelle V’s CD has been added to my daily playlist! It’s a terrific combination of Michelle’s versatile and powerful vocals, songs with clever lyrics that tell some great stories (including two great songs written by Michelle), and amazing band. This CD also shows off Tommy DeVito’s talents as a producer!

The entire CD has made my long commute much more enjoyable lately! It’s got it all: touching ballads, including Michelle talking to her heart in “Heart He’s Using You to Get to Me”; “Trouble Rides a Fast Horse,” a song that I’ve been repeating each morning, thanks to that magnificent voice with lyrics telling it like it is (“tells you that he loves you, but he don’t hang around”); and my personal favorite, “Love Somebody”—a song that sounds like a future chart topper!

Not only is Tommy DeVito back in the recording studio again, but two great Jersey Boys are also working together again! Tommy is back working with his former bandmate Joe Long on some musical projects! Joe let us know that the “Michelle V” CD can be found on iTunes by going to the iTunes store, and doing a search for “Michelle V”. Tommy and Joe have also put Tommy’s album, “A Man 4 All Seasons” on iTunes. That CD can be found by doing a search for “Tommy DeVito”. This is the album that Tommy released a couple of years ago that features Tommy playing guitar on Italian folk songs. There have a number of requests for it, so he decided to make it available again.

You may also purchase Michelle V’s CD via mail by sending a check or money order in the amount of $19.95 to this address: Brooklake Productions, 9723 Silver Lasso Street, Las Vegas, NV 89183.

Finally, one more bit of exciting news: Tommy and Joe are planning to go back to the studio again to record another CD featuring Tommy on guitar!

When asked about working with Tommy DeVito after all these years, Joe Long stated, “I’m so happy to be back in contact with Tom. He is one of the most talented people I have ever met. But, more importantly, he is a great individual. Under the tough exterior, there lives a generous, sensitive, and totally likable man.”

Congratulations to Tommy DeVito, Michelle V, and Joe Long on these marvelous musical projects!

  6. Hi Jackie, In the show, Tommy is referred to as “Tomooch”.

I assume it was a nickname family & friends have called Tommy for years, but maybe someone out there has more details on the name?

  7. It is definitely a nickname from his family while growing up in New Jersey. He did talk about during our podcast interview with him:

The blog also has a great tag of Tommy DeVito links:
