For Immediate Release

Statement by Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio on the Passing of #BobCrewe:

It is a sad day for not only for us but also for everyone who was touched by a man who created his legacy by doing just that … touching people’s hearts. Bob Crewe’s lyrics have meant so much, to so many, for so long, it is hard to imagine they will ever be forgotten. Bob had a way about him in life as he did in the studio, a charismatic personality, an ability to draw the best out of everyone and a limitless joy of music, art and life. The years that we spent creating music were amazing. We learned together and grew together as artists. We will never forget Bob Crewe our partner…our brother, in music and our good friend in life.

  1. When I heard Mr. Crewe had passed, I wanted to cry. The world has lost an amazing singer, song-writer, actor, producer, artist, and person. He has touched so many people through his music and by being himself. I wish I could have met him.
Bob Gaudio and Frankie Valli’s statement is beautiful. I love how they refer to him as a brother. They had a strong relationship, and I am glad they embraced it publicly!
Mr. Crewe, we will never forget you, your work, or your legacy. Rest in peace, sir.

  2. I am SO sorry to hear about the passing of Bob Crewe—-we will certainly miss him this side of heaven. He was quite the wordsmith, Bob Gaudio creating the music and Frankie Valli adding his heavenly voice. What a team! I know you will miss him and my heart aches for all of you. Thank you for continuing on with the beautiful sound of music and the love of harmony I so enjoy. You spread SO much love and happiness. God bless you all
