June 2nd, 2015News from Official London Theatre:
The much-loved long-running hit show Jersey Boys will play in the West End for longer after extending its booking period at the Piccadilly Theatre to 14 February 2016.
The hugely popular show, which had previously been booking to October, has now been seen by an incredible 22 million people worldwide. It opened in London in 2008 at the Prince Edward Theatre before moving to the Piccadilly Theatre last spring where it continues its smash hit run.
Currently starring Michael Watson, Edd Post, Jon Boydon and Gary Watson as the show’s all-important leading men, Jersey Boys tells the staggering true story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons and their colossal rise to stardom from the wrong sides of the tracks.
The Tony and Olivier Award-winning hit features a line-up of some of rock and roll’s most iconic songs from the 1960s group including Beggin’, Sherry, Walk Like A Man, 1963 (Oh What A Night), Big Girls Don’t Cry, Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, Working My Way Back to You and Who Loves You.
Jersey Boys is one of more than 40 top London shows taking part in this year’s Kids Week. Suitable for families with older children and teenagers, theatregoers will receive a free ticket for a child aged 16 or younger for every adult ticket purchased through the promotion. Returning for its 18th year, the event once again runs through August with tickets on sale from 16 June.
