‘Cry for Me’ Video by Sam Moffatt!
January 21st, 2009While searching YouTube for Jersey Boys and Four Seasons videos, I found a real treat–singer Sam Moffatt’s fantastic rendition of “Cry for Me”! Check it out!
When I contacted Sam for his permission to post the video to JBB, I asked him to tell us a bit about himself and what inspired him to record “Cry For Me”:
Well, I have been singing for five years now both classically and also pop and musical theatre. I started off singing oldies because my entire life I have loved that vocal style and also the music. I am also a singer/songwriter and I play piano and guitar. As soon as I saw JERSEY BOYS I was inspired to put up this YouTube video. It was my favorite song from the show, even though I thought the whole thing was amazing. I hope you all enjoy it.

This guy is dynamite. He needs to work on perfecting his falsetto. He’s got the looks, the talent, great voice and fine piano skills. I hope he’s taking voice lessons. He could begin singing in clubs and local playhouses, and very soon I believe he could be in a traveling Jersey Boys.

Sam’s version really brings out the pain and emotion of the lyrics of the song. Nice job, Sam.
