  3. Beverley, meeting you has helped make 2007 such a special year for me–from the initial e-mails we exchanged to a lovely lady approaching me in Row B at the theatre on a Friday night declaring, “Hi Howard. I’m Beverley.”

    My favorite Beverley story begins with my bumping into Rick Elice at the theatre back in August. Always, engaging, Rick announced, “Oh, Howard, I saw your friend Beverley the other evening in the parking lot”, with nary a word about Christian, John, Bobby, or Daniel–the scuttlebutt that evening was “all Beverley, all the time!”

    I’m clearing my calendar waiting for the announcement of “August Wilson Fan of the Year 2007″; I hear your trophy will be in the Jersey Boys Hall of Fame right next to Christian’s “Belleville, NJ Man of the Year 2002!”

    Beverley, please send my best to your wonderful husband Charlie and great daughter Jen, and hopefully we’ll spend a lot more quality time together with the Jersey Boys in your new birthday year of 2008!

  8. Happy Birthday, Beverley! You are forever an integral part of my Jersey Boys experience. Thanks to you, I was able to be in the front row on November 8th to see JLY for our final time (for this contract, I mean :> ). That was a special night that’s forever seared in our memories.

    Beverley, I hope the year ahead is filled with many warm and memorable moments… and that we get to share side by side seats again.

  11. Thanks to all for your Happy Birthday Wishes!!! I had a wonderful day! I saw a matinee performance of Grease followed by Jersey Boys at night. Before having dinner, my friends and I met the house electrician for the August Wilson Theater who offered us a backstage tour prior to the show. So, we quickly gobbled down our food and went to the theater to meet him. He graciously spent the time to show and describe to us the mechanical and electrical equipment that contributes to the show’s success. We were introduced to many, many busy stagehands who were getting ready for the show to begin. Judging from his well appointed office, he is indeed a very important person!” Prior to being at the August Wilson, he was the production electrician for Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, Wicked, and many more. Judging from all of these shows framed and displayed in his office, he has had an illustrious career! The show was exciting as usual, and it is always fun to be able to bring friends who have never seen the show! I was introduced to Eric Gutman, who just joined the cast as Hank Majewski and others. Sitting up close gives you the chance to be the recipient of that special acknowledgment and smile from the four guys while they are performing on stage. THAT’S ALWAYS THE BEST!!!
