In Honor of the Late, Great Nick Massi on His Birthday, Part One: ‘Close Your Eyes’!

Today we celebrate the birth of Four Seasons phenomenal base player, base singer and vocal arranger Nick Massi. Listen to this rare 1964 fantastic concert recording of him singing lead on “Close Your Eyes.”

  1. WoW! How young they were in this clip. Frankie, Nicky, and Tommy have known each other since they were 14 years old. That is a WOW!!!!

    Yes! he is a Genius with a capital G. Bob Gaudio entered the group 1960, conservative and prepared to work his magic as “The 4 Seasons formed. They all complemented each other adding each of there own talent to there work. Brilliant!!!!

    They were all gifted in there way. They had originality & great sound. The 4 Seasons was complete.
    Frankie and dads voice always blended very well the High and low’s. Adding Bobby and Tommy’s voice to the mix and now you have excellence.
