With Jersey Boys set to finish its mammoth Australian run by the end of the year, cast member Daniel Scott admitted to the Star Observer that he had limited expectations of the show’s success when it opened in July 2009.
“I honestly didn’t think it was going to do very well. I didn’t think Australia would have the connection with New Jersey or the Four Seasons that America does. Obviously I had to eat my words!â€
Scott plays Bob Crewe, the Four Seasons’ flamboyant manager, in the show. While Crewe’s sexuality is never openly discussed, he’s clearly presented as a gay man.
