Jersey Boys: A Story About Friendship and Loyalty

November 1st, 2007

Anne Jones of ChicagoActor.com states that Jersey Boys is a story about four blue collar New Jersey boys who through trial and tribulations deal with prison, mobsters and betrayal on their way to the top of the music spectrum. It could serve as a sequel to HBO’s “Sopranos” (oddly enough Valli was on “The Sopranos” in a recurring character role). But more importantly, it’s a story about friendship and loyalty.

The actors are superbly cast. You instinctively feel as if they really are the Four Seasons. Close your eyes and the sound is there. Drew Gehling (Bob Gaudio), Michael Ingersoll (Nick Massi), Jeremy Kushnier (Tommy DeVito) and Jarrod Spector (Valli) are nothing short of spectacular. The rest of the cast is equally good, with many doing several roles.
