Jersey Boys Blog Bulletin Board

It has come to our attention here at JBB desert headquarters, that many readers would enjoy having the opportunity to post to an open forum or bulletin board. Therefore, it is with great pleasure, we are happy to launch another new feature, The Jersey Boys Bulletin Board!.
The bulletin board is intended to be a place where readers can create and post their own stories, comments or questions to be read and replied to by other readers of this blog. Right now there is one forum topic: Jersey Boys, but your can write about whatever you want as long as it does not make work for me (the “Tech-Half), or cost me money. Do not make me have to exercise my self imposed authority as keymaster on your comments or profiles. Otherwise, feel free to discuss the objective correlative or the virtues of the Belvedere over the Cadillac as a babe magnet.
Those are the ground rules. How does it work? You must register by submitting a user name and an email address. You will receive an email to the address you have given containing your password. Use the password in the email with your user name to login to the bulletin board and start posting. You may change your emailed password in the profile section.
Please be advised that although this exciting new feature is a product of the same people that brought you the blogging software platform that we use to publish the blog, it is untested and we are not entirely familiar with all of its features. But the “Blog Half” said, “Where’s that forum? The readers want a forum! Give the readers a f**king forum already!”

I am not sure why…I know that several have been started in the past by other fans and it never took off. There is also two long running threads on the Broadway site BroadwayWorld. One is called the Jersey Boys Tour thread (on the main board) and one is called the John Lloyd Young Love Thread. I think someone could start a Jersey Boys Thread and continue talking about Jersey Boys there.
Why? I feel like many of the fans hide here or have tried to have other message boards in other places because some people on BroadwayWorld make them feel unwelcome. But, it looks to the outside world that Jersey Boys fans only exists on the West Coast right now. Why not start a thread and all post your comments there? It would also show all of the Jersey Boys fans who go there that they are not alone.

PS. The John Lloyd Young Love Thread is in the Off-Topic Board.
I seriously know that some of you had at one time started posting on Broadway World and then started hiding here. However, if you are West Coast fans you have no problem posting there.

Hello! We are from Los Angeles and are planning to go to NYC to watch JYL in Jersey Boys. Will John be still performing at the August Wilson Theatre between Sept 9 and 12 ? I would appreciate a reply from anyone.

Yes, John should still be in the show in September. His contract is not up until November. However, he does not perform at Wed. or Sat. matinees.

Yes he should be there, as long as he is not sick. Don’t go to Wed. or Sat. matinees though, as he does not perform in them.

I have read the JLY Love Thread but never commented on it. It’s fun and informative – they put up interesting photos, etc., but it seems to be a more teenaged group. Most who post are in High School or college. They welcome everyone to post, tho.!

Thanks for the info. Now we can schedule our trip to NY between those dates. We were thinking of watching it on a Sunday, Sept. 9. Another question is, do we have to buy the ticket in advance or can we go to TKTS to get it ? What time should we fall in line to get it if at all we decide to do it.

If you can get tickets through one of the ticket brokers listed on this site, I would strongly recommend it- although you should expect to pay for the convenience of buying so close to the date. (TKTS never has JB tickets… and probably never will in our lifetime- if the fan base keeps growing.) For a SRO ticket on a Sunday in July, I arrived at the theater shortly after 10 am, but remember there are no guarantees until you get there.
