Jersey Boys National Tour Cast’s Reflections on the Hit Show

March 23rd, 2011

Jersey Boys LogoTBO.com’s Walt Belcher notes that JERSEY BOYS recently became the 27th longest-running Broadway show in history when it hit 2,213 performances. It surpassed “Oklahoma!” on the list of long-running shows.

He recently spoke with three of the actors who play The Four Seasons in the JB national tour production. Here’s a preview:

“And it will keep moving up and breaking records and it could run for at least 10 years,” says actor/singer Joseph Leo Bwarie who is playing lead singer Frankie Valli in the return engagement at the David A. Straz Jr. Center for the Performing Arts.

“People come for the music and then get hooked by the drama of their story,” says Quinn Vanatwerp, who plays group member Bob Gaudio.

Matt Bailey, who plays group member Tommy DeVito, says he is honored to part of the cast. “What makes it interesting is that these are real people and this story really happened,” he says. “We show their success and their heartbreak. The drama is compelling enough without the music.”
