Jersey Boys Perform At CBS Presentation

May 18th, 2006

In this morning’s New York Post’s “Starr Report,” columnist Michael Starr reports that the cast of Jersey Boys did something last night that’s believed to be a first in Broadway history, leaving their show at intermission to perform elsewhere – which turned out to be CBS’ upfront presentation – then returning in time for the show’s second half. They received a police escort to Carnegie Hall (site of the CBS upfront) when Jersey Boys broke for intermission, and were then escorted back to the August Wilson Theatre on West 52nd Street.

  1. WOW!
Nobody knew the “Boys” had gone during intermission to CBS because everyone was so excited to see former President Bill Clinton with his daughter Chelsie. At intermission everyone went over to Bill and his daughter to talk and shake his hand. They were in row E seat 113,114. I know because I was there last night enjoying the show with my older sister who loves Bill.
So this was an extra treat for her to get to shake his hand and speak with Clinton.
They seemed to enjoy the show very much and were having a good time.
