John Lloyd Young to Star in ‘Myth’!
June 24th, 2008Playbill.com reports that John Lloyd Young and several other stars have been cast in the new works selected for the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s 2008 National Music Theater Conference and Playwrights Conference. The 2008 National Music Theater Conference is the first O’Neill conference to get under way this summer, running June 29-July 18 in Waterford, CT.
JLY will star in Myth on June 29 and July 2-5, 2008. Myth, directed by Jeremy Dobrish and featuring book, music and lyrics by John Mercurio, is a contemporary riff on three Greek myths set in present day New York. When a disenchanted rock star, a frustrated mother and a slacker teenager take off separately to get their heart’s desire, they discover just how intertwined their lives are. Only by working together can they find what they’re after.
For scheduling and ticket information, call (860) 443-1238 or visit www.theoneill.org.
Sounds like a great vehicle for John. He is a true student of the theatre. Wish I lived closer!
