More Cities Announced for JB & 2nd Tour To Be Launched

Playbill.com reports that the national tour of Jersey Boys has announced more cities where the 2006 Tony Award-winning Best Musical will play. Additionally, a second national tour of the hit musical will also be launched.

The current tour kicked off at San Francisco’s Curran Theatre (where it runs through April 29) and will next play an 11-week stint at Los Angeles’ Ahmanson Theatre (May 25-Aug. 5). Also previously scheduled is a stop at Chicago’s LaSalle Bank Theatre in October. Casting for the second company and which cast will play specific engagements will be announced at a later date.

Below is the lineup of cities (with start dates) of the two touring companies for the 2007-08 season (subject to change):

  • San Francisco, CA – Curran Theatre (current)
  • Los Angeles, CA – Ahmanson Theatre (May 2007)
  • Chicago, IL – LaSalle Bank Theatre (Oct. 2007)
  • Tempe, AZ – Gammage Auditorium (Sept. 2007)
  • San Diego, CA – Civic Theatre (Oct. 2007)
  • Costa Mesa, CA – Orange County PAC (Nov. 2007)
  • Seattle, WA – 5th Avenue Theatre (Dec. 2007)
  • Houston, TX – Hobby Center (Jan. 2008)
  • Tampa, FL – Tampa Bay PAC (Feb. 2008)
  • Minneapolis, MN – Orpheum Theatre (March 2008)
  • Cleveland, OH – Playhouse Square (June 2008)

    Great to see Jersey Boys is heading to the cities where we have offices located.
    I’ve already told the staff in my San Fran. office and Los Angeles office. Now I will share the love of Jersey Boys with Chicago, Seattle, Florida & Houston offices.
