Newsflash: Jersey Boys Is Headed to Minneapolis!

March 18th, 2007

The StarTribune.com reports that Minneapolis is one of ten cities slated for the first national tour of Jersey Boys, the Tony-winning musical that tells the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. The Hennepin Theatre Trust announced that the show will play a five-week engagement at the Orpheum Theatre next March.

Tom Hoch, president of the Trust, saw the musical on Broadway and felt it was perfect for this market. Hoch stated,

Sometimes you see a show and you just know that it will sell itself. It has a strong emotional tie for people who lived through that music. It’s nostalgic and very uplifting entertainment.
