Oh, What A Day for Steve Orich!

September 24th, 2007

Jersey Boys Orchestrator Steve Orich had quite the amazing day today!

  • Steve was nominated for a 2007 LA Stage Alliance Ovation Award for Best Musical Direction for Can-Can at the Pasadena Playhouse. The Pasadena Playhouse’s production of Can-Can received a total of 12 nominations!
  • Last week, Snapshots, a musical that Steve orchestrated, opened at the Human Race Theatre in Dayton, Ohio to terrific reviews! According to TalkinBroadway.com, “Those exquisite arrangements and the orchestrations are the work of Tony nominee Steve Orich.”
  • Steve’s latest production, the new Broadway-aimed revised revival of Lerner and Loewe’s Paint Your Wagon, is opening in Salt Lake City this week. Steve significantly revised orchestrations for the musical that will be launching a cross-country tour, followed by productions on Broadway and in London!

Congratulations to Steve Orich on his tremendous accomplishments!

  1. So happy for you Steve. Your talent is only on par with your kindness. When I met you in LA, you promised to send me one of your CD’s, and I thought I’d never hear from you again. But sure enough, it was sitting in my mailbox when I arrived home.

“Paint your Wagon” is a show I’ve never seen in any incarnation. I’ll be certain to catch it either on Broadway or in London.
