Video: Historical Movie Musical Magic Starring Jersey Boys Film Director Clint Eastwood!

August 13th, 2013

How many of you have seen JERSEY BOYS film director Clint Eastwood’s musical debut in Paint Your Wagon?

The 1969 Western musical also starred Lee Marvin and Jean Seberg and was set in a mining camp in Gold Rush-era California. The film was adapted by Paddy Chayefsky from the 1951 stage musical by Lerner and Loewe. In the film, Eastwood and Lee Marvin play gold miners who share the same wife (portrayed by Seberg).

Hope you enjoy Eastwood’s character “Pardner” singing “I Talk to the Trees”!

  1. One of the worse musical movies. It is the one thing that made me worried about Eastwood directing the JB movie.

  2. Who knew Clint could sing, good job! Looking forward to seeing the movie Jersey Boys ~ J/L/Young is a wonderful entertainer and with C/E directing I think it will be a hit.

  3. I tried talking to the trees once, but they wooden listen to me, either…they had their own conversations going, but they kept branching off more and more…finally I just decided to leave.

Hope Clint sets a higher bar for his JB cast than his performance.

  4. Clint Eastwood is a brilliant director. I really enjoyed his films, especially his recent ones, Grand Torino (which he sang the song during the ending credits) and Trouble With The Curve. Looking forward to him directing the Jersey Boys movie.
