Why Is Jersey Boys So Popular? Just Ask the Fans!

December 17th, 2012

JERSEY BOYS returns to the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach from this Wednesday, December 19 through January 6. Hap Erstein chatted with fans, including fantastic fan Kathy Johnstone & Jersey Boys Bloggers! Here’s a sneak peak:

How do the fans of “Jersey Boys” love the show? Let them count the ways.

“First of all, it’s songs that you know you’re going to love. But then it is the story that takes you completely by surprise. For me, there’s not a better musical out there,” says Kathy Johnstone of Santa Rosa, California.

And she should know, because she has seen the 2006 Tony Award-winning musical biography of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons 119 times.

That’s right. 119 times.

“People have said to me, ‘You’ve seen it that many times? Aren’t you sick of it?’ And I think, ‘Are you kidding me? It’s the same feeling like you’re seeing it the first time.’ ”

We’d love to know: Why do YOU keep going back to see JERSEY BOYS?!

  1. WTG Kathy,

I have seen it twice and if I had more opportunity, I would see it again and again and again, just like you. It has everything a great musical could offer. My all time favorite. Can’t wait till they come to the Tallahassee, FL area so I can see them again. I still think the OBC is the best, although the National Touring shows are great as well.
