Exciting news: Tomorrow, June 21, “Nothin’ But Love,” Joseph Leo Bwarie’s debut album will be officially released! The album, produced and arranged by one-time Four Seasons member who arranged most of the group’s hits and Billboard hit-maker Charles Calello, is described as “a stylish, sexy, fresh take on the swingin’ Capital Records “sound” while pushing the envelope with his song selection, creating new modern classics made memorable by his fresh, easy, engaging voice.”

Shane Nyman of the Post Crescent has posted an interview with Bwarie about the debut album. Here’s a sneak peek:

Joseph Leo Bwarie, the smooth-voiced 33-year-old who portrays Frankie Valli in the touring “Jersey Boys” production that finishes its run in Appleton today, is often told he was born into the wrong generation.

With his debut solo album, loaded with sounds of ’60s big band swing, ready for release, he begs to differ.

“I was born at the perfect time,” Bwarie said. “People have to carry on that tradition of great music.”

Bwarie aims to do just that with his first record, “Nothin’ But Love,” out Tuesday on iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby. The collection of 13 songs calls back the glory days of Capitol Records, its timelessness both stylish and sexy.

“That’s what ‘Jersey Boys’ does, it connects the generations,” he said. “And I think this album is going to do the exact same thing.”
